Thanks for the directions! saved me TONS of time!

after i did all the portrait photos, i sorted my files by file size… made it easier to do all the rest of the landscape photos.

Yes, Preview is excellent. However, other resizer apps give more benefits like various resize algorithms, unsharp mask, auto contrast. Some apps let you put signature on photo. You’d better see Photo Resizer. http://itunes.apple.com/kr/app/photo-resizer/id485604369?mt=12

So what about my other iMac running 10.4.11? Preview does not offer a resize in drop down menu. I really need something to get me by till it gets replaced.
